The OPARC January 2017 meeting was called to order by the new President, Don Anhslog, and guests were welcomed and introductions were made.
A motion that minutes are to be posted online instead of sending to everyone was made, seconded, and passed. Minutes should be posted within 2 weeks of the meeting.
Mark Field, Treasurer, gave the following Treasurer’s Report:

Savings as of December 31, 2016 – $4,077.99

2016 AUDIT REPORT:
The audit team, Don Anhslog, Adrian Gray, and Chris White performed an audit on the club’s finances and the balance matched, everything is in order.
As of December 31, 2016, there were 25 lifetime members, 28 members who have renewed their membership, and 76 inactive members.
New members to the club get the first year free from dues. Dues are $7.50 per year.
Jerry Tabor was asked to be the new Membership Chairman and he graciously accepted.
Ted Jahn gave a status report on the repeaters. The 440 machine is to be finished first. Hopefully this will be complete by the end of February. Then the target date for finishing the 144 machine is the end of March.
No more equipment is needed, but there are some parts needed. A motion was made by Bob Meadows, seconded, and approved by the members for money up to $875 to be approved for the expenditure of what parts are necessary to complete both projects.
Adrian Gray stated that the next ARES meeting will be the first Tuesday in February, at the Pinewood Christian Academy, Orange Park, FL, at 7:00 PM.
There are currently 76 members, and there are no dues for membership. He encouraged participation in the ARES Sunday evening net at 7:30 PM, on the 146.92 (5) repeater.
Hamcation – Orlando, February 10th, 11th and 12th.
Auction! Clean out the garage and bring items early so they can be tagged.
River Cleanup – March 17th. Greg Fitcher to head up this project.
Field Day – last weekend in June. Mike Hendershot needs someone to replace him as coordinator. Eric Sanders volunteered. Thank you Eric!
We also need a new Board Member. Volunteers please contact Don or Scott.
Repair of Trailers – Jim Winfrey advised that the trailer is totally rusted out. It needs a total replacement. A plan is needed for a replacement. If anyone has thoughts, please contact Jim.
Greg Fitcher presented David Elmore with the 2016 HAM OF THE YEAR AWARD. Congratulations Dave!
Silent Key – We lost a long time member, Pete Lynch, at the end of December. Pete always headed up the Toys for Tots campaign during the holidays. We would like to consider moving up the donations to November instead of December. Also, Kasey Tate is to contact the Marine Corps League to continue this tradition.
