ORANGE PARK AMATEUR RADIO CLUB APRIL 2018 MEETING MINUTES
The Orange Park Amateur Radio Club April 2018 meeting was held at the Orange Park High School, and was opened by Don Ahlskog. Introductions were made, visitors were welcomed, and birthdays were recognized. A motion was made to approve the March 2018 minutes, it was seconded, and the motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
Checking – $ 1,519.50
Savings – $ 2,237.66
Cash – $ 575.45
TOTAL $ 4,332.61
A motion was made, voted on and passed to approve report.
There are no liabilities at this point. Life membership is $150.00. Dues are $10/year.
ARES UPDATE: May 1st is the next meeting at the Clay County EOC. Getting ready to support several events coming up. Meeting at Pinewood Christian Academy the first Tuesday of every month, at 7:00 PM. ARES has supported several events: Clay County Fair, the Tour de Forts and everyone is encouraged to participate in the next event. The Florida Striders Memorial Day Run on Memorial Day.
REPEATER: A bit of static. Nothing new at this point. Machine at the Orange Park Medical Center is running at 100%.
HAMFEST: Gainesville area HAMFEST is April 21st at First Baptist Church in Waldo, FL.
FIELD DAY PREPARATIONS (June 23 & 24):
Room setup is on Friday
There will be one CW station, 3 voice stations
Scott Roberts will be sending out Public Service announcements prior to the event.
There will be a sign up sheet on our website prior to event.
NEW DETAILS:
The room formerly used for meals will now be used for classes.
The art room (where we get the tables and chairs) will now be used for food (yes, AC will be available 🙂 )
