ORANGE PARK AMATEUR RADIO CLUB JANUARY 2018 MEETING MINUTES
The Orange Park Amateur Radio Club January 2018 meeting was held at the Orange Park High School, Orange Park, FL. The meeting was opened by Don Anhslog. Introductions were made, visitors were welcomed, and birthdays were recognized. A motion was made to approve the December 2017 minutes (the annual Christmas party), it was seconded, and the motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
Checking – $ 885.89
Savings $ 2,237.66
Cash $ 656.15
TO $3,779.70
2017 AUDIT:
All expenditures matched with income. There was a motion to approve the audit report, seconded and the motion carried.
STATE OF ARES:
Upcoming ARES events are the Angry Tortoise Run (Fl Striders) which will be February 25, 2018. See the sign up sheet coming soon to the ARES website.
HAM TESTING:
The upcoming dates are February 7th and March 1st, at the Clay County Public Library, Orange Park, FL.
REPEATERS:
Make sure to set a tone on your radios, otherwise you will not be able to transmit.
HAMCATION:
February 9, 10, and 11 in Orlando, Florida. You don’t want to miss this!
DON’T FORGET THE AUCTION AT THE FEBRUARY 2018 MEETING!!!! Clean the garage! Remember, one person’s junk is another person’s treasure!!!

Joe Bassett presented a program on his experiences in Puerto Rico after Hurricanes Irma and Maria.
