ORANGE PARK AMATEUR RADIO CLUB  MAY 2018 MEETING MINUTES

The Orange Park Amateur Radio Club  May 2018 meeting was held at the Orange Park High School, and was opened by Don Ahlskog.  Introductions were made, visitors were welcomed, and birthdays were recognized.  A motion was made to approve the April 2018 minutes, it was seconded, and the motion carried.

TREASURER’S REPORT: 

Checking –             $ 1,099.50
Savings –               $ 2,237.66
Cash      –              $    575.45
TOTAL    –              $ 3,912.61

A motion was made, voted on and passed to approve report.

There are no liabilities at this point.  Life membership is $150.00.  Dues are $10/year.

ARES UPDATE:  Adrian Gray advised that now is the time to gear up for heavy weather.  ARES will be supporting Florida Striders in their Memorial Day Run in Orange Park.  They will also support Field Day in June.

REPEATER:  Ted is at Hamcation so no report.

TESTING:  Raj

The next testing will be June 4, 2018 at the Wesconnett Library.

FIELD DAY PREPARATIONS (June 23 & 24):

Room setup is on Friday

There will be one CW station, 3 voice stations

Scott Roberts will be sending out Public Service announcements prior to the event.

There will be a sign up sheet on our website prior to event.

Jeff Kern will be the safety officer on site.

MONTHLY BREAKFAST: 

A motion was made, seconded and passed to move the monthly breakfast to Grumpy’s Restaurant on Kingsley Avenue.

PROGRAM: 

Jim Winfrey presented a program on various antennas.
