ORANGE PARK AMATEUR RADIO CLUB JANUARY 2019 MEETING MINUTES
The Orange Park Amateur Radio Club January 2019 meeting was held at the Orange Park High School, and was opened by Don Ahlskog. Introductions were made, visitors were welcomed, A motion was made to approve the minutes as posted, it was seconded, and the motion carried.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
Cash – $ 389.35
Savings $ 2,325.66
Checking $ 598.12
A motion was made, voted on and passed to approve report. A motion was made by Mark Fields to raise the club’s dues from $10.00 per person a year to $15.00 per person per year beginning in 2020. This motion was seconded, discussion was held, and the motion was passed.
Bob Meadows then made a motion to raise the dues to $20.00 per year effective immediately. There was no second.
The annual audit has been done by Adrian Gray and Chris White. Everything is in order and a motion was made to accept the audit. This was seconded and approved.
QRP – Second and last Saturday of each month, 1:00 PM. Fleming Island Public Library. Bring items for show and tell!
REPEATERS: Ted Jahn stated the repeaters are consistent, on the air.
ARES – Clay Ares has a number of events coming up. Winter Field Day is coming up on January 26th. Also, Orlando Hamcation will be February 8, 9 and 10, 2019.
BUSINESS:
TESTING – Laurel testing will next be held February 4th at Terry Park Baptist Church, Jacksonville, FL.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – Volunteers to help rewrite the club’s by-laws are needed. If interested, please contact Scott Roberts.
